The High Trail Edition TRX-4 Sport gets you up and over obstacles with a factory-installed Long Arm Lift Kit for over an inch more ground clearance than the standard TRX-4. Extended 110 mm GTS shocks deliver silky-smooth damping performance with greater wheel articulation for increased off-road capability. Extended steel links and a revised servo mount maintain TRX-4’s superior suspension geometry.

Aggressive S1-compound Canyon Trail tires feature large lugs for increased grip with 2-stage foam inserts for realistic trail performance. The tires come mounted and glued to large 2.2? 5-spoke wheels with beadlock detailing.

A high-angle front bumper and factory installed Long Arm Lift Kit give the High Trail Edition a staggering 62.78° degree out-of-box approach angle in the front. An equally impressive 54.72° departure angle provides extreme capability, even in the deepest ruts.

The Power Of Portals

TRX-4 Sport’s portal axles work in tandem with the Long-Arm Lift Kit to lift the truck for huge center ground clearance. With over 2 inches of clearance under the center pumpkin, the High Trail Edition climbs over obstacles that would snag other trucks. The portal axles’ internal gear reduction virtually eliminates torque twist, keeping TRX-4 straight and on course.

Clipless Convenience

A thick 1.5 mm steel ladder frame with molded cross members provides exceptional torsional rigidity to resist even the worst chassis twisting articulation. This extremely rigid backbone lets the suspension do the work it was designed to do. You’ll feel the difference on trails where the elimination of chassis flex allows for precise wheel placement when navigating technical terrain.

Raised Center Driveshafts and Suspension Links

TRX-4’s radical portal axle design raises the driveshafts higher to improve axle geometry and reduce driveshaft angles. Higher driveshafts and suspension links pass over obstacles to avoid high-centering your truck and reduce overall grinding wear.

Single Speed Transmission

Geared for raw torque, the single-speed transmission sheds valuable weight from the Sport’s chassis for better weight distribution. Steel gears provide Traxxas-Tough durability and virtually maintenance-free operation.

Extended-Length 110 mm GTS Shocks

High Trail Edition Sport’s extra-long 110mm GTS coil-over shocks are oil-filled to smooth out even the roughest trails. These silver-anodized aluminum shocks deliver silky-smooth damping and feature threaded bodies for easy ride height adjustment. The convincing scale realism looks great and they perform even better with an O-ring cap seal and dual X-ring shaft seals.

Torque Twist Eliminated

Portal axles use gear reduction at the wheels to virtually eliminate torque twist. The Titan 550 motor’s torque translates into straight, powerful, forward motion, rather than wasted energy twisting your rig right off the rocks.
